Behind the Burner: The Cellar Door Cocktail by the Andaz 5th Avenue

Makes 1 serving

INGREDIENTS:

1 1/2 oz. Pimm's #1
1 1/2 oz. Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum
3/4 oz. bergamot syrup
3/4 oz. fresh lemon juice
3 dashes of orange flavored bitters
1/2 oz. St. Elizabeth Allspice Dram
Orange zest for garnish

PREPARATION:

1. In a cocktail shaker, combine the Pimm's, rum, bergamot syrup, lemon juice and bitters.

2. Add ice to the cocktail shaker, seal well, then shake for 15-20 seconds.

3. Strain into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice.

4. Lightly mist the entire cocktail with the Allspice Dram.

5. Garnish with orange zest and serve immediately, preferably in a cellar for atmosphere.
