Behind the Burner: Sage Meatloaf by Divya Gugnani

INGREDIENTS:

2 eggs
1/2 c. milk
2/3 c. seasoned bread crumbs
2 tsp. onion salt
1/2 tsp. sage
1 1/2 lb lean ground beef
1/3 c. low-sodium ketchup
2 tsp. brown sugar
1 tsp. stone ground mustard
1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

PREPARATION:

1. In a large bowl, combine the first five ingredients. Crumble beef over mixture and mix well.

2. Shape into a round loaf and place in a slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours or until a meat thermometer reads 160 degrees F.

3. In a small bowl, whisk the ketchup, brown sugar, mustard and Worcestershire sauce. Spoon over the meat loaf.

4. Cook 15 minutes longer or until heated through.
