Rose Mint Julep by Divya Gugnani

Makes 1 serving

INGREDIENTS:

2 tbsp. water
2 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. rosewater
20 mint leaves, approximately
3 oz. bourbon
Mint sprig, for garnish
Rose petals, for garnish
*This drink is classically served over crushed ice.

PREPARATION:

1. In a small sauce pan, prepare simple syrup by heating water, sugar, rosewater and mint leaves until sugar dissolves. Remove pan from heat and let cool.

2. Once simple syrup has cooled, place it in a shaker filled with ice and bourbon. Shake vigorously.

3. Pour drink over a glass filled with crushed ice. Garnish with mint sprig and rose petals.

Remember experts always chill the glass in advance.
