Behind the Burner: Pineapple Pizza A La Grill by Divya Gugnani

Makes 8 servings

INGREDIENTS:

1 pre-made pizza crust
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup tomato sauce
1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
1/2 cup fresh sliced mushrooms
1/2 cup sliced onions
4 thinly sliced pieces of pineapple

PREPARATION:

1. Preheat an outdoor grill for high heat and lightly oil grate.

2. Roll out prepared pizza dough to a size that will fit your grill.

3. Grill pineapple for about 5 minutes and cut into tiny pieces

4. Place dough on grill for 5 minutes and flip over.

5. Now add the sauce and all the toppings.

6. Cover the grill and allow to cook over high heat for 5 to 10 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
