Behind the Burner: Parmesan Croutons by Divya Gugnani

Makes 5 servings

INGREDIENTS:

4 cups bread cubes
2 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. olive oil
1 tsp. minced garlic
1/4 c. freshly grated Parmesan cheese, finely shredded
1/2 tsp. dried oregano, crumbled
1/2 tsp. dried thyme, crumbled
Salt


PREPARATION:

1. Preheat oven to 375°F.

2. Toss cubed bread in with olive oil. Bake until croutons are a light golden brown. Remove croutons from oven; immediately toss with oregano, cheese and a pinch of salt.

3. Cool completely and serve.
