Lemon Thyme Martini by Divya Gugnani
Makes 1 serving
INGREDIENTS:
For Gin infusion ( makes 4 servings):
1 quart Gin
1/2 lemon, thinly sliced
1/2 bunch thyme
For the Martini (Makes 1 serving):
1 teaspoon Dry Vermouth
6 oz. Gin Infusion
Ice
1 lemon slice, for garnish
1 thyme sprig, for garnish
3 olives, for tradition
PREPARATION:
To make the Gin infusion:
1. Place gin, lemon slices, and thyme in a quart container. Cover with a lid.
2. Let mixture stand for up to 5 days, stirring occasionally.
3. Strain infused gin into fresh bottle.
To make the Martini:
1. Place vermouth in the bottom of a chilled martini glass. Swirl vermouth around until all inside surfaces are coated.
2. In a shaker, place infused gin and ice. Shake vigorously until the ice crystals beging to form on the outside of shaker.
3. Place your lemon, thyme, and olive garnishes in the bottom of the martini glass and pour gin into glass.
Remember experts always chill the glass in advance.
