Behind the Burner: Jalapeno Hamburgers by Divya Gugnani

Makes 8 servings

INGREDIENTS:

2 cups jalapeno pepper, chop and remove seads
2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese
2 lbs ground beef
8 hamburger buns

PREPARATION:

1. Preheat a grill to medium. When grill is hot, lightly oil the grate

2. In stir together the jalapenos and cream cheese

3. Divide the ground beef into 16 portions and pat out each one to 1/4 inch thickness

4. Scoop some of the cream cheese and jalapeno mixture onto the center of 8 of the patties. Top with the remaining patties, pressing the edges together to seal.

5. Grill for 8- 10 minutes on each side, or until well done
