Behind the Burner: Grilled Maple-Glazed Salmon by Divya Gugnani

Makes 4 servings

INGREDIENTS:

4 (6-ounce) salmon fillets

Marinade:
1 tablespoon maple syrup
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon orange juice
1 teaspoon fresh ginger, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced

PREPARATION:

1. Whisk ingredients for the marinade in a mixing bowl. Add the salmon to the bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Place the bowl in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to 2 hours.

2. Prepare grill by lightly greasing the grill grate over medium-high heat.

3. Remove salmon fillets from the marinade and discard the marinade. Place the fillets onto grill, and grill them for 2 to 3 minutes per side for medium-rare. Drizzle remaining marinade over salmon before serving.

Serve with asparagus or blanched spinach.
