Behind the Burner: Game Stuffed Mushrooms by D'Artagnan

Makes 6 servings

INGREDIENTS:

2 lbs. button mushrooms
1 pack wild boar or venison sausage
1/2 cup bread crumbs

PREPARATION:

1. Preheat the oven to 450 F.

2. Remove the stems from the mushrooms. Brush the caps clean wth a damp cloth.

3. Remove the casings from your favorite D'Artagnan game sausage and mix in a bowl with the bread crumbs.

4. Stuff the mushroom caps with this mixture, place in a shallow baking dish and bake in the oven for 15 minutes. Serve immediately.

Variation: Use your favorite D'Artagnan Chicken Sausage as the stuffing base.
