Chocolate Peppermint Bark by Divya Gugnani
Makes 2 servings
INGREDIENTS:
9 oz. dark chocolate (65% cacao)
2 peppermint sticks
1/2 Cup heavy cream
1/4 Cup toasted almond silvers
PREPARATION:
1. Over a double boiler, melt chocolate and add heavy cream half way through the melting process.
2. Place peppermint sticks in a plastic bag and smash them with the back of a spoon, breaking the sticks into small pieces.
3. When chocolate is melted, add the peppermint pieces to the chocolate.
4. Spread the chocolate peppermint mixture on a baking sheet lined with wax paper.
5. Pour over the toasted almond silvers. and the place baking sheet in the refrigerator until cool and hardened, about 30 minutes. Break into pieces.
