Chipotle Hamburgers by Divya Gugnani

Makes 4 servings
INGREDIENTS:
1 lb lean ground beef
1/2 cup finely chopped sweet onions
2 tbsp. seasoned bread crumbs
2 serrano chiles, seeded and minced
3 canned chipotle chiles, minced
pinch of salt
4 hamburger buns
Sliced white onion
PREPARATION:
1. Mix chopped onions, bread crumbs, Serrano chiles, chipotle peppers, and salt
2. Add beef and mix well
3. Form four patties about and grill them over medium flames for about 6-8 minutes on each side
4. Brush hamburger buns with melted butter or olive oil and grill lightly for a minute or so
5. Serve burgers buns with desired condiments
