This Weekend, Eat, Drink and Shop for the Foodies in Your Life

Behind the Burner: This Weekend, Eat, Drink and Shop for the Foodies in Your Life

Falling on the heels of last month's New York City Wine & Food Festival, Cook.Eat.Drink.Live. is back with its third annual exposition of cooking demonstrations, food and wine tastings, classes and gourmet shopping.

The three-day event takes place at The Tunnel in Chelsea with three separate areas for food, wine and education. You can catch chefs like Michael Symon and Eric Hara of the Oak Room leading cooking demonstrations, wine experts and mixologists from bars like Apotheke give wine and holiday cocktail advice, and wine seminars like Wine 101 and on the wines of Napa Valley where you can learn about different wine varietals and pairings.

The event features local chefs like Joey Campanaro of The Little Owl and Bill Telepan of Telepan, local restaurants like Xie Xie and Mercadito, and local wines from wineries like Wolffer Estate. The festival not only supports local chefs and establishments, but also world hunger, as part of ticket sales benefit the international organization. Learn a thing or two about wine, imbibe on some cocktails and see Bill McDaniel of the Red Cat prepare a sweet and sour risotto. Hurry, there's still tickets left and we've got a tasty discount just for you.
