My Tasty Trip
I would like to share my experience working at Behind the Burner with other passionate food lovers like myself. As long as I remember, I've loved to cook and feed people. My preparation often starts by scanning the Internet for inspiration. With all the sites out there, I'm still left hungry!
Then I came across Behind the Burner, while studying for my BBA in marketing. I applied for an internship and expected to get some practical work experience while building my marketing skills. Instead, I ended up learning a whole lot more! From HTML coding to editing Q&As and preparing the perfect risotto to discovering artisanal cheese; this has been quite an internship. Not only has this been any food enthusiasts dream, but it has also been the ideal environment, as the culture here is based entirely on team work. I've been told over and over that no task is too little or big for each of us, and that is what has made this experience unique. Whether it is fixing commas or making marketing decisions, I feel like I carry a lot of responsibility.
Food is about family, and the Behind the Burner team has become my extended family. I'm lucky that Divya and Caroline have made me a part of this flavor-filled journey. I was at the very first video shoot and now we've launched. I feel proud to be part of this team. Many thanks to them for giving me this unique opportunity and intangible skills and insights that I will cherish for a lifetime.
