Valentine's Day is 24-hour celebration of pure, unadulterated love. And what better way to show that love than to take your sweetie, your mom and dad, your best friend or a new friend out for a fabulous dinner to show your adoration of their person.

Below are a few Prix-Fixe menus offered by some of the best restaurants in Manhattan, Chicago, Los Angeles and Philadelphia. Each menu was created to showcase the chefs' talent and the restaurants' flair for the delicious, all while promoting the feeling of the season. And that feeling is amore!

Romantic and rustic, The Upholstery Store is a pseudo wine bar and relaxed eatery from Wallé chef and owner Kurt Gutenbrunner. The fare is Austrian-based, filled with the warm, rich dishes of Europe.

Five-course "Sexual Chocolate" menu incorporating chocolate into savory and dessert courses; $96 per person (offered Friday and Saturday in addition to the a la carte menu, and offered solely on Sunday, February 14th)

Menu highlights include: Sweet Potato Bisque with Chipotle Marshmallows, Cilantro Leaf, Corn Nuts, and Lime Crè me; Ginger Crusted Ahi with Green Tea, Sticky Rice, Bok Choy and Yuzu Marmalade; Brioche Pain Perdu with Chocolate Cremeux, Banana Gelato, Salted Caramel and Hazelnut Crumble.

Created by the chef of the same name, this former navy brat brings all the flavors of his childhood to Chicago. The dishes are delightful and homey; leave the kids (or your dog) at home and dive into some Sweet Potato Bisque with toasty Chipotle Marshmallows!
